“Words cannot describe how much Dr. Foster’s mentorship and friendship has meant to me this past year. One of my greatest A-Ha moments as an educator was discovering that I needed help. As an educator, I believe it is important to surround yourself with teachers that will inspire, push and motivate you.
I was introduced to Dr. Foster when I cam across her acceptance speech online as the 2017-2018 Jefferson County Elementary Teacher of the Year. Her passion and genuine love for children and education came across so strongly, I knew that I had to meet this phenomenal educator.
I messaged Dr. Foster through Facebook and asked her if she would assist me with planning or share some new ideas that I could implement in my classroom. She was so kind and offered to meet up with me and my colleague over the summer to plan. Since then, she has worked with me on classroom management, project based learning, differentiation and so much more. Since working with her, I notices that I have a renewed excitement for education. Church Training Session
After seeing her teach a training session, I asked Tara to do a session at my church. She talked to me about my concerns then, to prepare, she attended a church service to observe. All of this was used in our Saturday session and she was wonderful! She brought all of the materials and kept us learning.
